"Help me to do it myself. Show me how to do it. Don't do it for me. I can and want to do it alone.
Have patience to understand my ways. They may be longer, maybe I need more time because I want to make several attempts.
Dare me to make mistakes and effort, because from that I can learn."

Maria Montessori

The Park Kindergarten Hagerhof gGmbH was launched as an integrative Montessori children's house in the middle of 2001 as a privately run facility on the grounds of Schloss Hagerhof on Menzenberg.

A few years later - in the context of the closure of Catholic kindergarten groups in Bad Honnef - the sponsor Park Kindergarten Hagerhof agreed to take over a four-group Catholic facility, the Zedernpark. The sponsor's own two-group integrative Montessori children's house was merged on 01.08.2006 with the groups of the Catholic kindergarten in the premises of the Zedernpark. The need for the renovation of the building at Zedernpark quickly became apparent. The renovation turned into a fundamental renovation, which meant that the kindergarten had to move again and found a temporary domicile in the newly built municipal residential home opposite Insel Grafenwerth.

This special founding history brought together children, parents, and the kindergarten team. The relocation to the newly renovated children's house took place on 01.08.2013. And as one can see today, the efforts have paid off: The Park Kindergarten can offer its young visitors a wonderful building with appropriate interior design, a true living and feel-good space, a home for children. The Park Kindergarten Hagerhof today is a four-group Montessori children's house with up to 70 places for children from 1 year old to school enrollment.

Our house is located in the heart of the city of Bad Honnef on the Rhine, a small town in the nature park Siebengebirge. In the immediate vicinity, among other things, is the Cura Hospital. The city center can be reached in a five-minute walk. Popular destinations for our kindergarten groups are the nearby Rhine riverbank and the „Insel Grafenwerth“, as well as the "Reitersdorfer Park" or the "Anna-Tal", at the beginning of the Siebengebirge.
